Start the class with Optional activity:
Hangman
• AS thinks of a verb in the Past Simple and writes the same number of dashes as the letters of the
word, on the board.
• The rest of the class takes turns guessing the letters. If a letter is correct, the Sat the-board
writes it in the appropriate space. If a letter is not correct, the S draws part of the person hanging
from the gallows and writes the letter on the board so that Ss don't repeat the same letter.
• The class wins if they find the verb before the picture is finished.
Ndërtimi i njohurive të reja
Ask students to look at activity 4:
• Draw Ss' attention to the five sentences in activity 4.
• Explain to Ss that they have to read the sentences carefully and complete them with the Past
Simple of the verbs in brackets.
• Have Ss check their answers in pairs first, then as a class.

Then Move Activity 5:
• Direct Ss' attention to the two children in the picture and ask them to guess what's happening.
(The children are talking about what they did last weekend.)
• Divide Ss into pairs.
• Say, I went to the museum last weekend and have Ss repeat.
Explain that Ss will have to make their own sentences using the phrases in the box.
• Make sure all Ss participate.
If time work with exercises from WB.
