Affirmative Form: Present Continuous

○ Examples: ■ "I am studying." ■ "You are writing an email." ■ "They are attending a class." Charades: Present Continuous in Action ● Activity Description : ○ Divide the class into 3-4 small groups. ○ One student from each group will act out an action (e.g., "I am writing an essay," "She is reading a book") using gestures, and the group has to guess the sentence in the present continuous form. ○ Rotate roles so all students participate. ● Goal : Practice forming affirmative sentences while having fun. Negative Form: Present Continuous ○ Structure : Subject + am not/is not/are not + Verb (-ing) ○ Examples: ■ "I am not working on my homework." ■ "They are not attending class today." Interactive Pair Work: Asking and Answering in the Present Continuous" ● Instructions : ○ Pair up students and ask them to interview each other about their day, using the present continuous tense. ○ Example Questions : ■ "What are you doing right now?" ■ "Are you studying for the test?" ■ "Is your friend writing their homework?" ○ One student asks questions while the other answers in the present continuous.
