Not only was IBS intellectual but also spiritual in that it ministered to my heart as well. We went through John Pipers Seeing and Savoring Jesus Christ Devotional Seeing Christ Book that really impacted my view of Christ. Also the content of the notes made me realize that there is more to scriptures than what I know and have experienced hence I was challenged to go deep in my bible study time. I know this will help me a lot in my ministry to students and even more so in my daily walk with the Lord. Thanks for affording me this opportunity . We were thrilled to have four students apply to join us this year as they do their internship with CCC CCC-SA, partaking in the Great Commandment (Matthew 6:33) and the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20) of our Lord Jesus Christ. These were students who were who had been discipled by some of our previous interns including myself on Westville Campus during the last 2 2-3 years. They are currently working on their MPD and are thrilled to be servin on serving CCC-SA. They will be based on our 4 campuses, SA. strategically at Edgewood Campus more than the others. We were also encouraged at the beginning of this year when Noscelo Duma applied for an internship programme forming part of our team. She had been wor working with high school students for the past few years and when we met her at a bible study last year, little did we know that the Lord would direct her to continue serving him but with CCC-SA. This has really been an answer to our prayers that God would add labourers to minister to the lives of varsity students who so need to be exposed to the Love of God o and His enduring word.
New staff, interns and students serving in CCC ew CCC-SA 2012 at NLTC Training
On the 27th of January a student leadership meeting was held at the Westville Baptist Church. This is an annual briefing meeting where students re-unite and reconnect after nearly 2 months long unite vacation from campus. Students took ownership of the meeting as they began planning for campus outreach events they are to hold on their campuses. Howard and Westville campus stville planned a week long programme on their campuses where each day they went out to share their faith most especially with first year students, inviting them to either a pool party or movie night at their residences. What took us by surprise is how students took ownership of the whole orientation week without the help of interns or staff as we were all away in Pretoria.
All 5 interns also later joined me for MPD training in Pretoria but their training also continued for another 8 days. The picture below shows our 5 interns including some of those who will be serving at other provinces namely: UJ (University of Johannesburg), UP (University of Pretoria), and UWC (University of Western Cape).
I am so grateful to be a part of Campus Crusade for Christ- South Africa (CCC-SA) and for the privilege of getting to know God more through my work and share of His great love with campus students. 2012 Marks a 40 years of existence for the South African Campus Crusade for Christ. And it's an honor for me to still be working together in ogether Durban with the Couple that Started this Missions Organization in this country (John and Mary-Jean Tempelhoff). It has had . a tremendous impact in my life and the lives of many thousand university students, professionals, high school learners, prisoners, church and many many lay community members. 31 January 15-31 I was in Pretoria for a bible training IBS (Institute for Biblical Studies) for two weeks and two days of MPD (Ministry Partner Development). The main topic of IBS this time around was bas based on Biblical Interpretation. It was intense with . homeworks and lot of readings which were very informative to my knowledge of the Bible. I enjoyed acquiring some skills to rightfully interpret scriptures.

Their 8 day training was NLTC (New Li Training Life Curriculum) this is a new staff training course we all go through when we join CCC CCC-SA. The emphasis on this course is to train every missionary on evangelism and discipleship, and some leadership and ministry skills necessary to carry out the task the Lord has given us. Im very blessed to be part of an organization so committed to training its employees and helping them develop and be the best at what they do.
