After sitting in front of the computer all day, our backs and arms may ache.

After studying all day long, our brain can also be tired.

Therefore, we should do things that relax our mind and body.

On the other hand, we can take care of our body’s health in our free time.

Everyone should have free time.

In our spare time, we can fully relax and pursue our passions.

Therefore, I will give a general overview of free time activities that everyone should do.

The first thing is sleep.


Why is getting enough sleep important?

Getting enough sleep has many benefits. It can help us:


 Get sick less often
 Stay at a healthy weight
 Lower your risk for serious health problems, like diabetes and heart disease
 Reduce stress and improve your mood
 Think more clearly and do better in school and at work
 Get along better with people

The second activity is running.


Jogging or running is a popular form of physical activity.

Health benefits of running and jogging

Regular running or jogging offers many health benefits. Running can:

 help to build strong bones


 strengthen muscles
 burn plenty of calories
 help maintain a healthy weight
The third activity is doing Yoga.
“Yoga can also lower blood pressure and reduce insomnia.”

Other physical benefits of yoga include:

 increased flexibility

 increased muscle strength

 weight reduction

 cardio and circulatory health

 protection from injury

The fourth activity is cycling.


Cycling is mainly an aerobic activity, which will improve our overall fitness level.

The health benefits of regular cycling include:

 increased muscle strength and flexibility


 decreased stress levels
 strengthened bones
 decreased body fat levels
 prevention or management of disease
 reduced anxiety and depression.

Cycling can improve both physical and mental health, and can reduce the chances of experiencing
many health problems.

We should also do our hobbies in our free time. For example, watching movies, learning a language,
swimming, making or eating foods we like, etc.

We can relax by watching movies in our free time. Especially, comedies can make the mind the
lightest.

Watching movies can be beneficial for our mental health and serve as more than just a hobby or
pastime.
Movies can provide several mental health benefits.
 Boost mood
Taking time to watch a movie could help improve our mood.
 Motivation
Giving our mind a break from work for something enjoyable could motivate us to be more
productive when we get back to it.
 Reduce stress
A good comedy could help lower your stress levels.

Learning a language we are interested in during our free time is also a great way to spend our
time.
Learning a new language is fun and exciting. It also has wonderful benefits in life.
Improves memory and brain function
Learning a language strengthens the area of the brain which is responsible for memory, speech
and sensory perception.
Creates employment and career opportunities
More and more companies are seeking staff who can speak more than one language.
By learning a new language, you can have more opportunities in the workplace.

Swimming
Swimming is a healthy activity that you can continue for a lifetime. It is a low-impact activity that
has many physical and mental health benefits.

Other benefits of swimming

Swimming has many other benefits including:

 being a relaxing and peaceful form of exercise


 alleviating stress
 improving coordination, balance and posture
 improving flexibility
 providing a pleasant way to cool down on a hot day
Making or eating foods we love

Food is nourishment in a lot of different ways. It is actual nourishment for our bodies, but it also
nourishes our soul a little bit, and we should be eating foods we like, foods that feel good to us.
It is also part of a healthy diet.

We should eat the vegetables that we do like, the types of protein that we do like, If you don't
like fish, You don't have to eat salmon to be healthy.

There are other healthy choices that we can eat that we would enjoy more.

The above mentioned are free time activities that make the mind and body healthy.

By doing these activities, we can keep our mind and body healthy, relieve stress, and
use our free time effectively.
