GRAMMAR
The Focus of This Lesson Is about (이)나 That We Use When Expressing Listing Nouns (=
Choices/Options) and a Lack of Preference.
Throughout this lesson, you will learn about those two main usages of "noun + (이)나" only.
Conjugation Rule
For Example:
1. 바다 + 나= 바다나
"the sea or..."
2. 주스 + 나= 주스나
"juice or..."
3. 사과 + 나= 사과나/산 + 이나 = 산이나
"an apple or..."/"a mountain or..."
4. 물+ 이나 = 물이나
"water or..."
For Example:
산 ("a mountain")
바다("the sea") "a mountain, the sea, or a
산이나 바다나 도시나...
도시 ("a city")... city..."

귤("a tangerine") "an apple, a tangerine, or

CULTURAL INSIGHT
In Korea, there are many rest stops (or rest areas) in which drivers can rest or eat. Whenever
drivers or travelers need a break from a long drive, they can simply stop by at any rest stop to
refresh themselves. What's more, the rest stops sell various types of food, snacks, drinks, and
you can even enjoy the beautiful scenery.
