LibreOffice Writer (Word Processing)

1. Formatting a Document
a) Create a new document in LibreOffice Writer.
b) Set the page size to A4.
c) Apply 1-inch margins on all sides.
d) Set the font to "Times New Roman," size 12, for the body text.
e) Type a paragraph with at least 3 sentences, and apply bold to the first sentence and italics to the
second.
f) Insert a header with your name on the left and the current date on the right.
g) Create a bullet list of five items related to your favorite hobbies.
h) Save the document as "My_First_Document.odt."
2. Inserting Tables
a) Create a table with 3 columns and 5 rows.
b) Fill the table with random data (e.g., name, age, city).
c) Insert a picture (any image) in the document and resize it.
3. Working with Styles and Formatting
a) Create and apply a custom paragraph style called "Heading1" with font size 16, bold, and centered
alignment.
b) Create a numbered list and apply a different style to it.
4. Inserting Page Numbers
a) Insert page numbers in the footer of the document.
b) Format the page number to start from page 1 on the second page of the document (use the "Insert"
-> "Manual Break" option).
5. Create a time table using table in libre office writer –

6. Open libre office writer file and save it with your name after writing some random text in it.
(at least 5 – 6 lines)
a. Display all Non – printing characters.
b. Find all the occurrences of the word 'the' and replace it with 'end' in it.
LibreOffice Calc (Spreadsheets)

1. Basic Data Entry and Formatting


a) Create a new spreadsheet in LibreOffice Calc.
b) Enter the following data in a 4x4 grid:

Bob 16 Male C
Mary 15 Female B
2. a) Apply bold formatting to the header row.
a) Change the font size of the entire table to 12.
3. Using Functions
a) Use the SUM function to calculate the total age in the "Age" column.
b) Apply an AVERAGE function to calculate the average age.
4. Creating Charts
a) Create a bar chart based on random data of your choice in the spreadsheet.
5. Cell Referencing
a) Use absolute and relative cell references to calculate the total for a new column "Score" of PA1
and PA2 and use the SUM function to calculate the total.
6. Data Validation
a) Set a data validation rule to allow only numbers between 1 and 100 in a column.

LibreOffice Impress (Presentations)

1. Creating a Presentation
a) Create a new presentation in LibreOffice Impress.
b) Add a title slide with the title "My First Presentation" and your name as the subtitle.
c) Add at least three slides with bullet points about your favourite subject or hobby.
d) Change the slide layout to "Title and Content" for one of the slides.
e) Apply a theme to your entire presentation.
2. Animations and Transitions
a) Apply a simple transition effect between the slides.
b) Add an animation to a text box or image (e.g., Fade In) on one of the slides.
3. Slide Show Settings
a) Set the slide show to start automatically after 3 seconds.
4. Working with Slide Master
a) Modify the Slide Master to change the default font and background Color for all slides.
5. Saving and exporting
a) Save your presentation as "My_First_Presentation.odp."
b) Export the presentation as a PDF.
