Digital Brand Storytelling Studio – Working with AI

Project Overview

In this project, you will work in groups to create a comprehensive digital


brand storytelling campaign using various AI tools. The project spans five
weeks, culminating in a final presentation. Your task is to develop an
imaginary brand from scratch, create its story, and show how you would
present it across multiple digital platforms.

Final Presentation
Prepare a 10-minute presentation showcasing:
 Your brand archetype and backstory
 Your storytelling framework and narrative arc
 Key characters and their roles in the brand story
 Your storyboard and video content
 Examples of your transmedia storytelling strategy
 Reflections on your use of AI tools in the storytelling process

Weekly Breakdown and Tasks

Week 1: The Origin of Storytelling

1. Choose a brand archetype using ChatGPT for exploration.


2. Generate and select a brand name using Namelix.
3. Craft your brand's backstory with assistance from ChatGPT.
4. Create a mood board using Canva that represents your brand's
archetype and personality.

Before next week:

- Finalise brand name, archetype, and backstory


- Complete mood board
- Write a 300-word reflection on how the chosen archetype will influence
brand storytelling

Week 2: The Art of Storytelling, Telling the Right Story,


Connecting with Consumers

1. Explore storytelling frameworks using ChatGPT.


2. Generate initial plot ideas using Plot Generator.
3. Create a mind map of your brand story using Coggle.
4. Begin developing an interactive version of your brand story using Twine.
Before next week:
- Complete Coggle story map
- Expand Twine interactive story to include at least 5 decision points
- Write a 300-word explanation of how the chosen storytelling framework
enhances your brand narrative

Week 3: Brand Storytelling Frameworks and Analyses

1. Generate images for your brand's key characters using This Person

2. Create backstories and personalities for your characters using ChatGPT.
3. Create a visual representation of your brand story using Storyboarder.

Before next week:


- Refine storyboard based on peer feedback
- Write a 300-word description of how your characters embody your
brand's values and personality
- Create a simple style guide for your brand (colours, fonts, tone of voice)

Week 4: Brand Storytelling as a Branding Technique

1. Develop a transmedia strategy for at least 3 platforms.


2. Create a 60-second brand story video using Clipchamp.
3. Design at least 3 social media posts for your brand using Canva.
4. Plan a week's worth of social media content using Later.

Before next week:

- Finalise 60-second brand video


- Create 2 additional social media posts (total of 5)
- Expand content calendar to cover 2 weeks
- Write a 300-word explanation of how your transmedia strategy enhances
your brand storytelling

Week 5: Final Presentations

Prepare a 10-minute presentation (in any format) showcasing:


- Your brand archetype and backstory
- Your storytelling framework and narrative arc
- Key characters and their roles in the brand story
- Your storyboard and video content
- Examples of your transmedia storytelling strategy
- Reflections on your use of AI tools in the storytelling process
