 Embedded System Design and Internet of Things (IOT)
 Wireless Data Communication and Analog Circuits
 Digital Design & Signal Processing
 Control & Communications Systems

Internship at Centre for Nanoscience and Technology (CENSE), IISC, Bengaluru

Project Name: Monitoring of Temperature & pressure in IC Packaging Labs (from Ju;24

to Oct’24) - Duration: 4 months (July’2024 – October 2024)

Description: The aim of the project is to monitor temperature and pressure with very narrow precision so as to
minimize the impact on sensitive equipment’s in IC packaging labs.

Contributions/Insights:
 Carried out extensive paper search on sensors in IEEE database with a view to find appropriate sensor types.
 Gained thorough understanding of ESP8266 Wi-Fi module.
 Gained functional understanding of AHT10 sensor (Temperature & Humidity Sensor)
 Used Arduino IDE for programming.

Implementation:
 Developed Microcontroller initial code to test AHT10 sensor and to measure temperature in the clean-rooms of
MEMS and IC packaging labs at Nanoscience facility
 Logged temperature data from the sensor to Google Firebase Cloud using API Keys as handshake.

Final Year Engineering Project:

Project Name: Robotic Scarecrow for Agri-based crop protection system

using Artificial Intelligence (AI)

Duration: 3 months (February - April 2024)

Description: Our project introduces a novel approach by integrating robotics technology into crop protection strategies
where the robots utilize a combination of visual, auditory, and olfactory stimuli to deter birds from entering crop fields,
thereby minimizing crop damage. Through the integration of robotics, automation, and smart sensing capabilities, the
Automated Crop Sentinel offers a sustainable and efficient solution for bord deterrence in agriculture, contributing to

improved crop yields, reduced environmental impact, and enhanced farm productivity.

Contributions/Insights:

 Programmed actuation of robotic arm using Arduino IDE (for programming the Arduino Uno)

 Got the robot constructed with hard card-board material as per design spec.

 Chose motor with right specification (Servo motor AMG-36)

 Programming the PIR sensor (sensor used to detect motion)

 Development of image processing modules using MATLAB (on Raspberry Pi board)

 Development of code base in Python to train images of birds & Compile using Google Collab

Other projects undertaken:

Project 1: Application of ML in crop efficiency improvement (Duration – 3 months)

Description: This project will help the farmers to know the yield of their crop before cultivating onto the agricultural
field and thus help them to make appropriate decisions. It solves the issue by building a prototype of an interactive
prediction system. Implementation of such a system with the machine learning algorithm is carried out.

Contributions/Insights:

 Data set containing key parameters like, Temperature, Humidity, Soil nutrients & Wind speed etc. was
trained using Google Collab in Python.
 Determined yield percentage of the crop for a particular season using regression algorithm (Random Forest)

Project 2: RTL design and netlist creation of basic digital circuits in Cadence Virtuoso Layout Suite

Description: This project is based on creating the design and netlists of combinational and sequential digital
circuits in Cadence through the virtual software called VMware. It involved writing the Verilog code of the design
and learning the netlist creation commands of Cadence.

Duration: 2 months

Contribution/Insights:
 Coding in Verilog HDL and Learning Netlist creation commands
 Learning Cadence through VMware, usage of tools for simulation in Cadence

Project 3: Implementation & Verification of Flip-Flops in EDA Playground using System Verilog

Description: This project is based on creating the verification environment in EDA playground using system Verilog for
verifying the output of JK, T, D flip flops etc. It involves writing the code for all the components of the verification
environment like driver, generator etc.

Duration: 1 month

Contribution/Insights: Using EDA playground for compiling code (Open-Source Compiler)

 Using System Verilog to develop verification environment.
