At the end of the lesson the students will be able to:
 Analyze the elements of story from the selection
 Organize the elements of a story
 Use the elements of story in different story
A. Content Standard
The learners determine on comprehending informational text.
B. Performance Standard
The learners should be able to locate information from expository text and use this information for
discussion or written production.
C. Learning Competency
The learner should be able to identify and discuss the elements of a story (theme, setting, character,
conflict, plot, and point of view) EN2LC-IIa-b-2.2

II. Subject Matter


A. Topic: Noting Important Elements of Story (Story Grammar)
B. Learning Materials: PowerPoint, video clip, cartolina, pentelpen, pictures
C. References: Internet, MATATAG Curriculum G-4

III. Procedure

A. Preliminary Activities

arrange your chairs properly
- Sit properly and listen attentively
to our discussion.
5. Review
- Do you still remember what an
adverb is? Identify the adverb
that you can see in each sentence.
1. The bird flew easily into the sky.

1. Unlocking the difficulties
Arranging the rumbled letters:
 Flocntic- the main issue of the story
 Lotp- another name for the event in story.
 Ethme- a general issue about life.
 Sretcarahc- the people, animals, strange
creatures or objects
 Ttingse- provides the locale or place and
period or time of the story
2. Motivation
I have here pictures and I want you to identify what
the picture shows. You will pick your answer inside
the box.
-What do you see on the first picture?

Okay, very good! It’s a Princess

-The second picture?

Correct! A Prince.

-The Third picture?

How about the last one?

Very good!
