Indicator: Uses strategies to engage students in learning.

C. Lesson Proper (25 minutes)

1. Presentation of the Lesson (10 minutes) Discuss the characteristics of living

things (e.g., movement, growth, reproduction, response to stimuli, metabolism).
Compare with non-living things (e.g., no growth, do not reproduce). Use PPT
slides and real-life examples.

2. Guided Practice (10 minutes) Group Activity: Sorting Game Each group
receives a set of images/objects. They classify them as living or non-living. Justify
their answers.

engagement in group activity – 5 pts.

B. Correct classification in the sorting game – 5 pts Creativity and explanation in

Think-Pair-Share – 5 pts COT Indicator: Uses varied assessment strategies to
check understanding.

IV. ASSIGNMENT

Research an unusual organism (e.g., virus, bacteria, fungus). Write a short

paragraph: "Is it living or non-living? Why?"

IV. REFLECTION
(For teacher’s self-assessment) Were the students engaged? Did they
understand the concept clearly? How can I improve this lesson next time?
