Objective: This homework is to enhance the ability of the learners to deepen conceptual understanding, develop
research skills, and foster critical analysis.

Holidays are a chance to read, relax and rejuvenate.
Task 1-Research Time: Scavengers Hunt
Visit a local library or a bookstore. Go ahead with the scavenger Hunt…Pen down
an amazing fact you just discovered.
Task 2--Select and read any one of the given below.
‘ Wonder’ by R. J. Palacio
or
Out of My Mind by Sharon M. Draper.
Task 3-Design a Book Brochure, remember to add illustrations.
You may refer to the following guiding questions to create your creative book brochure.
Book Overview:

● Who is the target audience for this book?
● What interests or concerns might appeal to this audience?

After reading the given book, take a moment to sit and contemplate.
In your English notebook pen down thoughts of empathy.
Explore the idiom” to be in someone's shoes”, and write a paragraph (50 - 60 words) with
reference to the book you read.
Task 5- Books have a magical way of bringing laughter into our lives, whether through
humorous stories, witty dialogue, or silly characters.
Pen down a collection of 5 amazing book facts in your notebook. Look for really
funny ones. The first one is done for you on the next page

Mathematics A Dodecahedron Project- Fractions

● Class Activity- Research different 2D and 3D shapes and deduce fun facts about
them (done in the class already).

last page of the project.

Science 1. Visit a garden and observe the plants, animals, insects, birds, etc.
Click pictures of any seven organisms of your choice. Create a PowerPoint presentation
using the images and mention the following features of the selected organisms:
A. Scientific name
B. Habitat
C. Food habits
D. Adaptation
E. Threats and conservation
F. Interesting facts(Choose any 3)
Note: The presentation should contain 8-10 slides where one slide displays one
organism.

2. Experimentation: Grow two same species of plants at home.

Task 1: Choose the plant (Try and choose a plant of similar size)

Task 2: Expose one to music and the other in a controlled environment. Keep the
variables like light temperature and water similar in both the plants.

Task 3: Select the Music and a schedule for playing the music. Record the time and
duration of the music.

Task 4: Observe and record the plants' on the following parameters:


Height, Number of leaves, Size of the leaves, and plant health ( Very Good/ Good/ Sad)

Task 6: Write a note in the journal to determine if music affects the plant's growth.

philosophy, music, art, film, fashion, literature and sport and monuments.
Bring out the difference between the two countries based on any one parameter
mentioned above in the form of a collage of pictures in the notebook.

German Task 1

You may write facts or details about the same in your German Notebook.

● Make a creative poster (A3 size sheet) on famous German brands like Mercedes,
Audi, BMW, Porsche, Adidas, Puma etc. You can draw or paste pictures of the
logos and please label them as well. Decorate it in the German style.

Computer Science Write a Python program that calculates the Area of the Rectangle(Length*Width). The
program should:
– Ask the user to enter the length and width of the rectangle.
– Calculate the area; This is the multiplication of Length and width.
– Output the answer.
● Write the code for your program.
● Save the file with the name GradeVI_RectangleArea.py and test it by applying
the test plan below:
