Dear Parents/Guardians,

Maths Olympiad Preparatory Course (Intermediate/Advance) for selected Primary 5 and 6


students
Your child/ward has shown a positive aptitude for Mathematics and is encouraged to
participate in the above-mentioned course. This course involves investigative challenges
where students will apply different strategies to solve problems.

Through this course, students will be able to:


1. broaden their mathematical intuition;
2. acquire mathematical knowledge and problem solving skills; and
3. develop greater confidence in extracting, processing and interpreting
mathematical questions.

This course will also prepare your child/ward for their participation in Mathematical
Olympiad and/or other competitions or contests.

The course consists of 10 lessons. Details of the course are as follow:


Day: Tuesdays
Time : 2.00 p.m. – 3.30 p.m.
Dates: Term 1 week 5 04 Feb 2025
Term 1 week 6 11 Feb 2025
Term 1 week 7 18 Feb 2025
Term 1 week 9 04 Mar 2025
Term 1 Week 10 11 Mar 2025
Term Break
Term 2 week 2 01 Apr 2025
Term 2 week 3 08 Apr 2025
Term 2 week 4 15 Apr 2025
Term 2 week 5 22 Apr 2025

Venue: Yuhua Primary School


Course fee: $38 per pupil (after subsidy, inclusive of course
materials)
Singapore Permanent Resident/International Students

Payment is either through eGIRO or SAM upon receiving the school bill.

Kindly note that there will not be any refund of the payment if your child/ward withdraws
from the course without a valid reason.

The school strongly recommends that your child/ward participates in this course. Please
reply via Parents Gateway by 06 January 2025.
