THINKING SKILLS (DECISION-MAKING SKILLS)

INSTRUCTIONS TO STUDENTS

1. This assignment contains ONE question that is set in the language of the printed module
for the course. The assignment should be typed using 12-point Times New Roman and
1.5 line spacing.
2. Cover page: University’s name and logo, course title and course code, lecturer’s name,
student’s name, and ID numbers, the topic of the assignment, and date of submission.
3. The assignment should be between 4500- and 5000-words excluding references. The
number of words should be indicated at the end of the assignment.
4. All references must be cited and recorded properly in the References section.
5. Each person can submit the assignment ONCE only in a SINGLE FILE (bind)
6. The assignment must be submitted before 15TH FEBRUARY 2025. Submission after
that date will not be accepted.
7. This assignment should be prepared in group. You should not plagiarize another
person’s assignment and claim it as your own. Plagiarism in any form is prohibited.

EVALUATION

1. This assignment accounts for 20% of the marks for the course mentioned.
2. The submitted assignment will automatically undergo a similarity check. If plagiarism is
detected, marks will be deducted accordingly.
REQUIREMENT (20%) WRITTEN REPORT
You must produce a report on a subject that impacts society in general that occurs commonly
in Malaysia or globally. You must propose a solution to the problem along with the issue.

Your report should include the following elements:


1. Introduction: The purpose of the report (general description of the problem that affects in
Malaysia/ globally).
2. Content:
I. Description of the issue/ problem specifically
II. Use of decision-making strategy (6 steps) to solve or decide on the issue/
problem.
III. Elaboration on the issue/ problem solution or decision.
3. Conclusion – Summary of the report and self-reflection
