Comments:
All of these experiments are oxidation-reduction reactions due to the valency shift. H2O2 contains
oxidizing and reducing characteristics.

Comments:

Three equations on the table are redox reaction, which changes the oxidation number and chemical
formula of substances in the reaction.
The first experiment, when KMnO4 and Na2SO3 react with H2SO4 after the reaction, would lose the
purple of KMnO4. But when it acts with NaOH the reaction obtains the brown solution.
In the third experiment, the result of reaction was brown precipitate of MnO2.

Comments: (0.5 pts)
The chemicals are in turn burned on the flame and create flames of different colors. Because of
the different properties of substances, the colors produced when blazing them vary. We relied on the
following formulas and data to complete the table above.
1. C = 𝛌 x v
C is the speed of light (3 x 10^8 m/s)
𝛌 is the wavelength (nm)
v is frequency
2. Ephoton = h x v
Ephoton is the energy per photon (J)
h is Planck’s constant (6.626 x 10^-34 J.s)
v is frequency

IV. Conclusions (1 pt)

(conclude all your performance in this report)

In this first chemistry experiment class, we were guided by Mr. Khoa and other
teaching assistants. We are tasked with working as a team to perform and analyze different
chemical reactions such as acid-base reactions, redox reactions. We worked diligently to be
able to observe the entire reaction process of the substances during the experiment. And

through that we can see many changes in color, precipitation of substances and also the
process of gas generation. We record by taking pictures of the test tubes, after finishing, we
wash the used tubes and continue to perform until all the reactions are assigned. Since this
is the first time we are exposed to the environment in the lab, there are still many surprises
and mistakes in the learning process. In the following lessons we will improve by preparing
for the previous lesson and become more professional.
