1. The song shall be one straight KUNDIMAN to be chosen from the following songs only and one
choice piece.

2. Transposition is NOT allowed.
3. ONLY piano should be the accompaniment. (Note: The host school will provide the piano that will
be used for the competition and a standby pianist is available in case when a participating SUC has
no pianist. For SUCs with pianist, they have the option to have their pianist play the piano for their
contestants.
4. Delivery should not be more than seven (7) minutes. Beyond this, a total of 5 points will be
deducted from the total score of each judge.
5. Filipiniana attire is required but should avoid shining and shimmering costume.
6. All contestants must follow the health protocols implemented by the IATF for the existing
coronavirus pandemic.
7. Judges’ decision is final.

1. There shall be 4 to 7 members per group, who are all bona fide students of the participating SUCS.
2. Each group will perform either original or published Original Pilipino Music (OPM) either Filipino or
English in any song classification / genre of choice.
3. The voice composition will be SATB, SSAA or TTBB with human percussion only.
4. Delivery should be within 3-5 minutes. An excess of a minute or a fraction thereof means a
deduction of 5 points per judge.
5. The members of the acapella pop singing group maybe composed of all males, or all females, or
mixed.
6. All contestants must follow the health protocols implemented by the IATF for the existing
coronavirus pandemic.
7. Violation to any of the mechanics and guidelines means 5 points deduction per judge.
8. The decision of the judges is final and irrevocable.

Live Band Competition
1. Each group will perform published (meaning: played live on-air) Original Pilipino Music (genre is
reggae) with no obscene, lewd, or green words in the lyrics.
2. Each group will have a minimum of four and a maximum of seven members.
3. Each group will perform a warm-up song and should be regional/ local song prior to the contest
piece with a limited time of five minutes including set up/ preparation time. A total of 10 minutes
will be allotted. Beyond this a total of five points will be deducted from the group total score from
each judge.
4. Each group must provide their respective instrument except for the drum set which will be
provided by the host institution. Change of cymbals will be allowed. A minimum of 4 amplifiers
shall also be provided by the host institution for one lead guitar, rhythm guitar, one bass guitar
and one keyboard.
5. The members of the band maybe composed of all males, or all females, or mixed.
6. The use of pyrotechnic gadgets, smoke, or combustible materials as props are not allowed.
7. Medley arrangement of songs is not allowed.
8. Coaches/ trainers are allowed to guide the song technicians provided by the host institution
during the warm-up song only (Note: No more interference of coaches and trainers during the
delivery of the contest piece)
9. Judges should attend the solidarity meeting, the day before the competition.
10. The host institution should provide an official timekeeper to monitor and remind the performers.
(Note: the timer should be projected on the side of the stage).
11. Judges’ decision is final and irrevocable.
Mixed Choir
1. There shall be 16 to 20 members per group, who are all bona fide students of the participating
SUCS.
2. Each choral group will sing one official contest piece “Sinong Baliw” (Note: this is a commissioned
musical piece by MASTS to be released second week of September as this is currently arranged).
Score piece will be provided by the MASTS Council in acapella. Warm up song (Choice piece) should
be Original Pilipino Music (OPM) open entry means either Filipino or English in any song
classification / genre.
3. Equal bearing of scores will be given to both rendered songs.
4. Medley for warm up song is not allowed.
5. The voice composition for both pieces: Sopranos, Altos, Tenors, and Basses
6. No alteration of notes for obligatory part and strictly observe and follow score pieces.
7. Maximum allowable time is 12 minutes. An excess of a minute or a fraction thereof means a
deduction of 5 points per judge.
8. Time starts on the first note and ends on the last note.
9. Choreography is not allowed.
10. Attire will be white polo shirt for both male and female. Leather shoes for males and high heel for
females with brushed up hair in a bun.
11. The use of wired condenser microphones, choir microphones will depend on the venue and should
not be rearranged.
12. Submit four (4) copies of warm up song on the schedule of screening of documents and a
certification that the composer/arranger of the song has allowed the choir to sing the song piece
if it is still not a public domain.
13. The decision of the judges is final and irrevocable.
Show Choir
1. There shall be 16 to 20 members per group, who are all bona fide students of the participating
SUC’s.
2. Each choral group will sing one Original Pilipino Music (OPM) either English or Filipino in fast tempo
with choreography.
3. Medley arrangement is not allowed.
4. Score piece in Acapella arrangement.
5. The voice composition: Sopranos, Altos, Tenors, and Basses
6. No alteration of notes for obligatory part and strictly observe and follow score piece.
7. Maximum allowable time is 4 to 6 minutes. An excess of a minute or a fraction thereof means a
deduction of 5 points per judge.
8. Time stars on the first note and ends on the last note.
9. Attire will be white polo shirt for both male and female. Leather shoes for males and high heel for
females with brushed up hair in a bun.
10. Hand props is applicable for this event (any light equipment, head dress, scarf, hat etc.)
11. The use of wired condenser microphones, choir microphones will depend on the venue and should
not be rearrange.
12. Submit four (4) copies of warm up song on the schedule of screening of documents and a
certification that the composer/arranger of the song has allowed the choir to sing the song piece
if it is still not a public domain.
