WHAT FORM/S OF TOURISM CAN BE PROMOTED IN THE REGION Cultural Tourism Our group chose this because all the tourist attraction we can see in the countries of the former USSR is mostly buildings and monuments.
Moldova .A landlocked state in Eastern Europe, located between Romania to the West and Ukraine to the North, East and South. It declared itself an independent state with the same boundaries as the preceding Moldavian Soviet Socialist Republic in 1991, as part of the dissolution of the Soviet Union.

Some of the Ukraine s attraction are SOPHIEVKA DENDRO PARK, is the world's landscape architecture masterpiece. Unique sceneries, exotic plants and rare trees, sky-blue ponds, fountains and cascades, grottoes and antique sculptures can see in this place. Ludwig Metsel was the first architect of Sophievka. The CRIMEAN RESORT is famous for their mineral waters as well as wines. And it is also called the earth in miniature . Georgia Tbilisi is the capital and largest city. And it is a very mountainous country. The Georgian national flag is a white rectangle, with in its central portion a large red cross touching all four sides of the flag. Georgia s attractions are Stone Mountain Park, a blend of theme park attractions and untamed forest and the largest exposed piece of granite in the world". Waffles house a place where people can stop and eat after a long drive. It is open 24 hours and the taste of the food is different from other waffle house you can see. Belarus A landlocked country in Eastern Europe. Its capital is Minsk. Other major cities include Brest, Grodno (Hrodna), Gomel (Homiel Mogilev (Mahilyow) andVitebsk (Vitsebsk). The green stripes in Belarus flag symbolizes the future green is the color of hope, red represents Belarus past and the blood of the countries defenders and the decorative pattern symbolizes Belarus rich cultural heritage, its spiritual continuity.

Latvia a country in the Baltic region of Northern Europe and is a unitary parliamentary republic .The capital and largest city is Riga. The Latvia flag symbols are white phone quadrilateral, in the center of which vertically and horizontally are crossed colors of the state flag.
Latvia s attractions are St. Peter s church, an impressive feature of the Riga skyline since the Dark Ages; it has seen a few refurbishments in its time. Museum of the Occupation is an historic educational institution it was established in 1993 to exhibit artifacts, archive documents, and educate the public about the 51-year period in the 20th century when Latvia was successively occupied by the USSR in 1940. Lithuania
the biggest of the three Baltic states. Vilnius is the capital and largest city. Lithuanians flag are based on the countrys traditional national dress- the yellow stripe for sun, the green for the countrys forests and red stands for the blood split for independence.
Lithuania s attractions are Vilnius it is the seat of the Vilnius city municipality and of the Vilnius district municipality. The first known written record of Vilnius as the Lithuanian capital is known from Gediminas' letters in 1323. The Curonian spit is a 98 km long, thin, curved sand-dune spit that separates the Curonian Lagoon from the Baltic Sea coast.
Armenia A landlocked mountainous country in the Caucasus region of Eurasia. The Kingdom of Armenia became the first state to adopt Christianity as its religion. Armenian flag meaning: red for the blood spilt by the Armenian soldiers, orange for the fertile soil and the farmers that work on it and blue for the sky.
Armenians tourist attractions are Garni Temple represents Armenia's Hellenistic culture influence in II-I centuries BC. Lake Sevan is the largest lake in Armenia and one of the largest high-altitude lakes in the world.
Estonia A state in the Baltic region of Northern Europe. The capital and largest city is Tallinn. The colors of the national flag represent Estonia s history, nature and folk costumes. The blue stripes for faith, loyalty and devotion as well as the sky and black for the dark past and suffering of Estonia people. White for striving towards enlightenment and virtue.
