Course Title: English Speaking Skills


Target Audience: Grade 6 Students (Elementary Level)
Duration: One Academic Year (2 Semesters)
Objective: To build students' confidence and fluency in spoken English through interactive
and practical activities.

1. Course Objectives

By the end of the course, students will be able to:

 Engage in conversations on everyday topics.


 Express ideas, opinions, and feelings clearly.
 Use proper pronunciation and intonation.
 Understand and use conversational strategies.
 Participate confidently in group discussions, role-plays, and presentations.

2. Weekly Topics

Semester 1

1. Week 1-2: Greetings and Introductions


o Basic greetings (formal and informal)
o Self-introductions and introducing others
o Role-play: Meeting new friends
2. Week 3-4: Talking About Yourself
o Describing hobbies, interests, and family
o Using present tense for routines and habits
o Role-play: Introducing yourself at a school event
3. Week 5-6: Everyday Conversations
o Shopping, asking for prices, and making requests
o Asking for directions
o Dialogue practice: Daily scenarios
4. Week 7-8: Asking and Giving Opinions
o Phrases for opinions: "I think," "In my opinion"
o Agreeing and disagreeing politely
o Group discussion: Favorite school subjects
5. Week 9-10: Descriptive Speaking
o Describing people, places, and objects
o Using adjectives and prepositions of place
o Activity: Describing your favorite room

3. Assessment
