BARRIER-FREE DESIGN IN TUGUEGARAO CITY, CAGAYAN

Greetings!

I am Jessie F. Patricio, a 5th year Bachelor of Science in Architecture student at Cagayan State
University (Carig Campus). As part of the requirements of our subject in Architectural Design 9:
Thesis Writing, I am currently working on a thesis project entitled, "A Proposed Residential
Elderly-Care Complex Through Barrier-Free Design In Tuguegarao City, Cagayan".
The proposed project envisions a facility that offers medical and psychosocial care, and
rehabilitative services, as well as spiritual support and companionship – that is, wellbeing-related
needs they desire in their twilight years. This seeks to provide a range of support and services
tailored to meet the needs of elderly clients, particularly those who may require assistance due to
health issues, mobility limitations, and other impairments.
In this regard, I humbly ask for a few minutes of your precious time to answer the following
questions as best as possible. Please remember that this survey is voluntary, and you can
withdraw your participation at any time.
All information obtained will be kept confidential and used for the research study's purposes
only. Thus, may I also ask for your best inputs and insights that are helpful and inspire
incremental progression and excellent accomplishmrnt of this study.

Qualifications:
 firstly, a resident of Tuguegarao City, Cagayan;
 secondly, individuals aged 18 and above; and
 thirdly, is living with an elderly person or senior citizen; or
 has a parent(s) who is an elderly person; or
 is a senior citizen; or
 had priorly lived and, more especially, cared for or attended to the needs of at
least one elderly individual for a considerable length of time; or
 a social worker, nursing aide or other equivalents thereof that involves mainly
dealing with elderly-care, or done such occupational or household experience
(long-term)
