Q29. Daivik and Dikshant run a Bakery shop in their town and during the Christmas festival they needed
cake boxes, the total requirement was 250 cubical and 120 cuboidal boxes, the edge of cubical box is
20cm whereas the cuboidal box is of 15 cm× 10 cm× 10cm.
a) Find the cost of cubical boxes @ ₹ 10 per sq.cm. (1)
b) Find the area of total cuboidal boxes that are closed. (1)
c) Find the ratio of volume of cubical box to that of cuboidal box. (2)
OR
Find the ratio of total surface area of cubical box to that of cuboidal box.
Q30.Raina is a hard working lady who along with domestic work goes to work to support the family
financially. She works for 22 hours in a week and earns ₹ 5949. During festive season of Diwali she
works for 37 hours in a week and earns more money. Where as her father who works on contract as a
painter and works for 8 hours a daily, he finishes a painting in 24 days, he increases his hours of work
to complete the same in 16 days. While coming back to home Raina buys a room heater whose MP
was₹ 1600 and the shopkeeper was known to Raina so gave discount of 20% and GST of 12% was
charged thereafter.
a) How much does Raina earn in 37 hours? (1)
b) How many hours has father increased to complete the painting in 16 days? (1)
c) Calculate what Raina has to pay in total for the room heater? (2)
