• Trade Partners: Key partners include the United States, China, the
UAE, Saudi Arabia, and the European Union.

• Education: With its National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, India aims
to make education more accessible, skill-focused, and adaptable to the
needs of a digital and global economy.
1. Background
India, as a rapidly developing nation with a vast and diverse
population, recognizes the importance of equal access to quality
education as a cornerstone of sustainable development, social
equality, and economic prosperity. Despite progress in primary and
secondary enrollment rates, challenges remain in providing equal,
inclusive, and quality education, especially for rural populations,
marginalized communities, and girls. India faces disparities in access
to learning resources, infrastructure, qualified teachers, and
technology. Bridging these educational gaps is vital for empowering
future generations and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals
(SDGs), particularly SDG 4 on Quality Education.
2. India’s Position
India is committed to ensuring equal access to quality education for all.
The Government of India’s stance is firmly aligned with UNESCO’s
Education for All goals, emphasizing inclusive, accessible, and
equitable education across socioeconomic and geographic divides.
India acknowledges that quality education is integral to reducing
poverty, promoting gender equality, and enabling economic growth.
India advocates for international collaboration and resource-sharing,
leveraging technology, and adapting educational policies to meet the
unique needs of different demographic groups.
4. Proposed Solutions
India proposes a multi-faceted approach to address equal access to
quality education, which includes:
14. Promoting Digital Literacy and Infrastructure: Increase
investment in digital infrastructure, particularly in rural areas, to
provide affordable access to online learning resources and devices.
India suggests establishing partnerships with tech firms to distribute
educational technology and training to schools in underserved regions.
15. Global Fund for Education Accessibility: Propose the
establishment of a UN-sponsored fund dedicated to supporting
countries with limited resources in improving school infrastructure,
recruiting and training teachers, and providing digital learning tools.
16. Encouraging Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs): India
supports collaborations between governments, NGOs, and private
sectors to improve teacher training, expand digital resources, and
build educational infrastructure in underserved regions.
17. Focus on Vocational and Skill-based Education: Tailor
curriculum and learning opportunities to meet local needs and ensure
students gain practical skills, particularly in rural and economically
disadvantaged areas.
18. Inclusive Education Programs: Implement programs
specifically aimed at marginalized groups, including girls, ethnic
minorities, and people with disabilities, to ensure that these
communities have the same access to quality education.
