Level 0:

This is the context diagram that offers a high-level view of the entire system. It highlights the
primary interactions between the Student, Admin, and Faculty users with the College
Management System:

 Student: Initiates processes like student registration, course enrollment, and fee
payment. The student also retrieves course details and academic records.
 Admin: Manages financial records, generates reports, and facilitates the registration
and enrollment processes for students.
 Faculty: Submits grades and academic records while also contributing to generating
reports and analyses.

The system integrates data from students, faculty, and the admin to provide course details and
maintain academic and financial records.

Level 1:

At this level, the diagram is broken down into more detailed processes:

1. Student Enrollment:
o Students provide their information for enrollment. The system verifies documents
and assigns student IDs.
o Once registered, course details are stored in the Course Database.
2. Grade Recording:
o After students are enrolled, their grade information is updated in the Grade
Database.
o The Administrator manages student grades, ensuring grade details are updated
and stored properly.
3. Course Management:
o The Administrator and Faculty can update, delete, or add course details.
o Course information is retrieved from the Course Database to ensure courses are
up-to-date for students.
4. Manage Attendance:
o The Faculty submits student attendance data, which is updated in the Attendance
Database.
o Faculty and administrators can also generate attendance reports from this
database.

Level 2:
This level further decomposes the Manage Attendance process, focusing on interactions
between Students, Faculty, and the Attendance Database:

 Students view their attendance records through the system.

 Faculty submits and updates attendance records, which are stored in the Attendance
Database.
 Reports related to attendance can be requested and generated by the faculty, and the
system processes these reports for storage and further action.

Key Entities:

 Course Management: Responsible for handling all course-related data.

 Student Enrollment: Manages student registration and verification.
 Grade Recording: Records and manages students’ grades.
 Manage Attendance: Handles attendance tracking and reporting.

This provides a structured view of the data flow within an NLAC Management System, breaking
down key processes and showing how data flows between users and system components across
various levels.
 Title: NLAC Management System - Level 0, 1 and 2 DFD Diagram
 Overall Structure:
o Three levels of data flow diagrams (0, 1, 2)
o Yellow and white color scheme
o Processes represented by yellow circles
o Data stores shown as parallel lines
o Arrows indicating data flow direction
 Level 0 (Context Diagram):
o Central process: NLAC Management System

1. Student Enrollment
2. Grade Recording
3. Course Management
4. Manage Attendance
5. Student Database
o Four data stores:
1. Student Database
2. Grade Database
3. Course Database
4. Attendance Database
o Shows interactions between processes, external entities, and data stores
 Level 2 (Attendance Management):
o Focuses on "Manage Attendance" process
o Main processes:
1. Attendance Record
2. Attendance Report
3. Course Info
o Detailed flow of attendance data submission, storage, and retrieval
 Key Features:
o Hierarchical breakdown of system processes
o Clear representation of data flow between entities
o Inclusion of main academic processes (enrollment, grading, attendance)
o Demonstration of data storage and retrieval
