1. Project Introduction:
The purpose of this project is to describe and analyze contemporary topics in operations
management. The project provides the students with an opportunity to link theoretical aspects
of the course with real-world situations and to learn the challenges faced by companies in the
application of the modern techniques of operations management.
 The project is about one topic. So, you are required to select any one of the following topics but
make sure your topic is not similar to other groups in the class:

3. Workflow Required for Project Report and Presentation

The project may follow the structure given below.

 Title page with project topic, students’ names, and their IDs.
 Table of contents

1. Introduction

// Give a comprehensive review of the concept, importance, techniques, factors,
and measurements related to your selected topic as described in the literature

3. Analytical Part
//Provide cases/examples from real-world company that applied/used the practice of
your selected topic.

1. Each group should consist of a maximum of 5 students.
2. This project should reflect fair teamwork among group members.
3. Each group should assign a group leader as a point of reference with
the course instructor.
4. The written report should be between 3000-4000 words max.
5. Use both primary and secondary sources to collect data and
information to build your report & presentation.
6. The PowerPoint presentation should take no longer than 15 mins,
followed by 5 mins for questions and answers session. All students of
the group must participate in the presentation.
7. Make sure to include visual aids such as graphs, tables (matrices),
diagrams and/or pictures to highlight your points clearly, both in the
report and in the PowerPoint presentation.
8. The report and presentation should be uploaded as a soft copy on the
Blackboard.
9. The submission deadline, for both the report and presentation, is on
December 5,-2024
10. Late submission: Due dates will be firmly adhered. If the project and
presentation are not submitted by the due date, a penalty of 20% per
day will be deducted from the assessment mark.
11. Writing Guidelines: Paper size: A4, Line Spacing: 1.15, Margins:
Normal all sides, Font: Times New Roman, Font Size: 12 for text and 14
for heading. Harvard referencing should be used for in-text references
and bibliography.
12. Your report and slides should be grammatically correct, well
punctuated, clear, concise, neatly presented, and easy to read.
13. Plagiarism: will not be tolerated at all and will lead to serious
