I. Program Title
II. Introduction
The school dropout rate is one of the measurements to see the effectiveness of a
country’s educational system. It is discussed that the important criterion that shows the
quality of education in a particular country are absenteeism and school dropout rates.
These criterions are said to be an important predictor of the existing and future
problems of the educational system in a particular country. As Lagundi-CCL National
High School strives to continuously decrease if not eliminate the dropout students.
Information about absences is the most practical indicator for identifying students in
need of early intervention to prevent from dropping out and reduce the percentage of
students’ absenteeism. The recent shows at 1% of decrease of dropout rates were
recorded
.
III. Rationale
There is no one magical, quick fix solution to the dropout problem. The problem
is complex and requires a complex array of solutions. Dropouts have dissimilar
characteristics and therefore need different kinds of programs which respond to their
individual circumstances and needs. Programs, to be effective, need to provide one-on-
one intensive attention to at-risk students, who often must be convinced that they are
competent and can be successful in school.
The Project SAVE believes that the approach to the drop-out problem by
delivering personalized supports to help students overcome their current challenges.
We need to have open hand, open mind and open hearts in dealing with them.
Sustained interventions are needed to continuously eliminate the SARDOs.
In this trying times the collaboration should be consistent and should be aligned
on whatever our school (Lagundi-CCL) and the Department of Education implements
and adheres to. Thus Project SAVE is significant program to save the Students-At-Risk
of Dropping out and encouraged drop outs to go back to school. As what famous saying
goes, “No child should be left behind”
Article XIV of the 1987 Philippine Constitution provides that the State shall:

education relevant to the needs of the people and society; and
3. encourage non-formal, informal, and indigenous systems, as well as self-
learning, independent, and out-of-school study programs particularly those that
respond to community needs .
The Education Act of 1982 (BP Blg. 232) stipulates that “The State shall provide the
right of every individual to relevant quality education regardless of sex, age, creed,
socio-economic status, physical and mental condition, racial or ethnic origin, political
and other affiliation.”
Republic Act (RA) 9155 (Governance for Basic Education Act of 2001) envisions a
curriculum that shall promote the holistic growth of Filipino learners and enable them to
acquire the core competencies and develop the proper values. This curriculum shall be
flexible to meet the learning needs of a diverse studentry, be relevant to their immediate
environment and social and cultural need
Article 28 of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (November
1989) provides that States Parties recognize the right of the child to education, and with

shall in particular:
V. Objectives
There are many factors that may place students at risk and contribute to a
