SUMMARY
Chemical Safety Requirements under USECHH Reg. 2000 & CLASS Reg.
2013
1) 7 Chemical forms: Liquid, Gas, Dust, Aerosol, Mist, Fume & Vapour
2) 9 Classification of chemicals: Flammable, Irritant, Corrosive, Toxic, Gas,
Explosives, Peroxide, Environmental Effect & Health effect.
3) Must establish Chemical Register (Chemical List)

4) Each container must be labelled with 6 info; (1) Name; (2) Hazard Warning

Symbol;
(3) Safety Precautions; (4) Risk statement; (5) Name, address
& contact no. of Manufacturer & (6) Signal Word
5) No chemicals/detergents can be stored inside drinking bottle

6) Each Chemical must have Safety Data Sheet (SDS) & Each SDS

must have Bilingual, 16 Sections and 5 year validity


7) Chemical must be stored in a safe designated area. Away from heat.

8) Personnel handling Chemical must be trained every 2 years

9) Personnel shall be provided with PPE and use them

10) Chemical Health Risk Assessment (CHRA) every 5 Years
