Iot Based Electrical Device Surveillance and Control System
Iot Based Electrical Device Surveillance and Control System
SYSTEM
SYNOPSIS:
The integration of the Internet of Things (IoT) with electrical systems has opened new
avenues for efficient monitoring and control of electrical appliances. This project, titled "IoT-
Based Electrical Device Surveillance and Control System using Arduino and IoT," focuses on
developing a sophisticated system to monitor the voltage and current of electrical devices and
ensure their safe operation. The system is designed to automatically cut off power to appliances
if the monitored voltage or current exceeds predefined limits, thereby preventing potential
damage and hazards.
The core of the system is an Arduino microcontroller, which interfaces with various
sensors to measure real-time electrical parameters such as voltage and current. These
measurements are transmitted to an IoT platform using Wi-Fi modules, allowing for remote
monitoring and control through a user-friendly interface accessible on smartphones or
computers. The system includes a relay module that disconnects the power supply to the
appliances when unsafe voltage or current levels are detected, ensuring the protection of both the
devices and the users.
