Answer the following questions:
1 842 kg 400g + 263kg 225g – 969kg 855g
Answer
(842 kg 400g + 263kg 225g) – 969kg 855g
= 1105kg 625g – 969kg 855g
= 135kg 770g
2 Subtract 255kg 35g from the sum of 186kg 26g and 304kg 60g
Answer
(186kg 26g + 304kg 60g) – 255kg 35g
= 490kg 86g – 255kg 35g
= 235kg 51g

You were also introduced to time lines, that is, the time intervals in relation to the time before
and after the birth of Jesus Christ.
The time interval before the birth of Jesus Christ is denoted BC while AD refers to the time
interval after the birth of Jesus Christ.
AD stands for Anno Dominni (Latin word) and BC stands for Before Christ’s birth.
Usually a number line is used to explain AD and BC concepts for easy understanding.
