Spelling Words ​


Ps. Students must study the spelling and meaning of each word. They will have to
make sentences with them. The spelling and understanding of the words will be
important.​

Week 1 ( Jan 20th - 24th) ​
Monday – The first day when school starts again.​
Tuesday – The day after Monday.​
Wednesday – The middle day of the school week.​
Thursday – The day before Friday.​
Friday – The last school day before the weekend.​
Saturday – A fun day with no school.​
Sunday – A resting day before Monday comes.​
Would – A word we use when we talk about something we might do.

Week 2 (Jan 27th - 31st) ​


Sharp – Something that can cut, like a knife or scissors.​
Fern – A big, green, soft plant that grows in the forest.​
Start – To begin doing something, like a game or a race.​
Spoil – To make something bad, like when food gets old.​
Verb – A word that tells what someone is doing, like "run" or "jump."​
Shark – A big fish with lots of sharp teeth that swims in the ocean.​
Crawl – To move on hands and knees like a baby.​
Because – A word that tells why something happens.

Week 3 (Feb 3rd - 7th) ​


Zipper – A thing that opens and closes jackets, bags, or pants.​
Barking – The sound a dog makes when it talks.​
Perfume – A liquid that smells nice, like flowers or fruit.​
Morning – The time when the sun comes up and we wake up.​
Carpet – A soft floor cover that feels nice to walk on.​
Forest – A big place with many trees, animals, and plants.​
Border – The line that separates two places.​

Week 4 (Feb 10th - 14th) ​
Sounded – Made a noise, like clapping or ringing a bell.​
Lifted – Picked something up, like a book or a toy.​
Pointed – Showed something by using a finger.​
Parked – Stopped a car and left it in a place.​
Waved – Moved a hand to say hello or goodbye.​
Grinned – Made a big, happy smile.​
Tripped – Fell after hitting something, like a rock or a toy.​
Have – To own or hold something, like a toy or a book.
