Q 1. Fill in the blanks :


a) To measure length larger than a metre we use the unit called
Kilometre.

Q 2. Draw a line measuring 7 cm using a ruler.
Q3 . A pencil is 15 cm long. A crayon is 5 cm shorter. How long is
the crayon?
Sol. Length of pencil = 15 cm
Length of crayon = 1 5 – 5 = 10 cm
Q 4 . A rope is 20 m long. Another rope is 3 m longer. Hoe long is
the second rope?
Sol. Length of rope = 20 m
Length of another rope = 2 0 + 3 = 23 m
Q 5 . A chocolate bar is 10 cm long. A table is 5 chocolate bars
long. What is the length of the table?
Sol. Length of chocolate bar = 10 cm
Length of table = 10 x 5 = 50 cm
