The manager oversees the communication ,
reporting , financials including funding and
ROLE DESCRIPTION budgeting , student engagement activities , special
initiatives etc for all the scholarships and projects
under the vertical .

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES :

The Excel Manager will be responsible for communication, reporting, financials including funding and
budgeting, student engagement activities , special initiatives etc for all the scholarships and projects under
the vertical and perform a wide range of duties including some or all of the following:

Project Communication , reporting and research


 Work with communication team for all social media and other related communication for all
projects
 Write and do quality check of reports on all the projects for PH and management
 Review the quality of the communication with the project teams on a regular basis to ensure that
it meets the project standards
 Prepare presentations for various project related requirements including monthly and quarterly
reviews .
 Assist with research required for the projects.
Project financials
 Assist in the preparation of budget across all projects
 Monitor all budgeted project expenditures across projects on a regular basis and budget
utilization as per budgeted financials
 Assist teams in budget projections and monitor plan vs actuals
 Prepare financial reports and supporting documentation
Project student engagement
 To ideate, execute and monitor student engagement activities across projects
 To come up with innovative activities as per requirements of each project
 To facilitate student engagement activities and provide effective feedback on the activities being
conducted
Project Special initiatives
 Assist teams in any special initiatives undertaken for the projects
CANDIDATE SPECIFICATIONS :

Educational Post-graduation or Masters Degree in Management ( finance and marketing )


Qualification / MBA/ Post-graduation or Masters in Social Work/Social Sciences / Education.
Experience in handling both communication and finance is a must .
Years of Experience 10+ Years in social sector, project planning or educational sector
Age 32+ Years
 Self- starter, proactive in finding solutions
 Ability to execute independently with ownership
 Knowledge of standards and effective practices across multiple
WORK SKILLS disciplines for education and community development.
 Critical thinking capacity and ability to think-out of the box
 Proven ability to work with external stakeholders to implement the
work in collaborative manner
 Learning Orientation: accepts mistakes and continuously seeks new
knowledge and skills
 Excellent presentation, public speaking, negotiation and interpersonal
skills
OTHER SKILLS  Demonstrated experience utilizing an influential style of leadership
 Strong computer and technology skills, with familiarity in using
computer and web based applications (Microsoft Office Applications
especially Excel, online portals for MIS)
 Organized, team player, self-starter and results-oriented individual
Analytical: breaks down problems and applies a methodical approach
Organized: demonstrates concern for accuracy and detail
Self-motivated: displays interest and persistence in doing the tasks at hand

JOB SPECIFICATIONS :

Hours of Work Hours of work 8 hours 6 days a week (alternate


Saturdays are weekly offs)

Working Conditions The job can involve working conditions that include 8
hour shifts between 8 am to 7 pm. There are two
week offs in a month apart from casual and privilege
leaves. This job will also involve working in
challenging community areas with infrastructural and
other disadvantages.
