Theory:
The main purpose of this experiment is to use LabVIEW to control DC Relay to automate the water
level in an overhead tank using DC motor pump. Metallic sensors are used for the detection of the two
levels in the tank. First Metallic contact is at lower level (Minimum level) of water tank and second
is at upper level (Maximum level) of water tank. If Water level is less then Minimum level, the
relay will turn the water pump on to pump water into the water tank. If no, the second scenario is
Water level is grater them Maximum level, the Relay will be instructed to turn off the water pump. If
none of the above conditions achieved, the program will be continued in monitoring level and
whenever the water level drop below Minimum level then again, the relay will turn on the water pump
on to pump water into the water tank. Thus, this system will be continued in detecting the water level
in tank and automatically turn on/off the water pump.

Procedure:
1. Connect the circuit on a breadboard as shown in the figure.
2. Draw the given circuit and logic control on LabVIEW panel.
3. Submerse the DC pump motor into bucket of water.
4. Now turn on the switch of DC pump motor.
5. From the LabVIEW control panel start the model.
6. Now, observe and note down the different condition of metallic contact and their
operating condition of DC pump motor for water filling and draining cases of the
tank.
