Through this writ petition, the petitioners have


challenged the advertisement for the CSS Examination-
2025, scheduled to be held on 15.02.2025, primarily on the
ground that they participated in the earlier CSS
Examination held in 2024, the results of which have not yet
been announced.
2. Learned counsel for the petitioners, inter alia,
contends that despite the elapse of almost 11 months, the
results of the CSS Examination held in 2024 have not been
announced, yet the respondent/FPSC has announced fresh
exams for the year 2025.
3. Let pre-admission notice be issued to the
respondent for 31.01.2025, through Registered Post A.D.
and TCS with direction to respondent to depute an
authorized officer who shall appear before the Court to
explain timeline for announcement of results of CSS
Examinations held in 2024.
4. Petitioners are directed to deposit process fee
today in the office.
