Newsletter # 11
Dear Parents/Guardians,
Greetings to all of you! Newsletter #11 serves to communicate the following;

Parent-Teacher Conference (PTC)

We would like to take a moment to express our heartfelt

appreciation to all the parents who attended the Parent-Teacher
Conference (PTC) held from Wednesday, January 22nd to Friday,
January 24th. It was truly wonderful to see such a significant
turnout of parents. Your active participation in these conferences
plays a crucial role in fostering a strong partnership between
home and school. Together, we can better support our learners
and ensure they thrive academically and socially.
For those parents who were unable to attend the PTC, we understand that schedules can be challenging. We
encourage you to reach out and arrange a meeting with your child's teacher at your earliest convenience. Thank
you once again for your commitment to your child's education.

Year 4 Educational Excursion

We are excited to inform you that our Year 4 students will be embarking on an educational visit to several
significant sites in Addis Ababa. They will explore the AAU Science Faculty and visit famous landmarks
including the first hospital, first school, first post office, first cinema, as well as the Statue of Victory, Statue of
Martyrs, and Statue of Menelik II. Additionally, they will enjoy a trip to Africa Park (AA Park). The Gerji
campus Year 4 students will go on this outing this Thursday, January 30th, while the Summit campus Year 4
students will have their visit on Tuesday, February 4th. We look forward to a day of learning and exploration!
Morning Drop off Time
As you all may be aware, our morning lineup ceremony will
begin promptly at 8:00 AM. Following this, students will
participate in a morning circle time in their classrooms from
8:20 AM to 8:30 AM, during which they will engage in
learning mini lessons pertaining to manners and values that
are essential for their personal development.
At 8:30 AM, the first lesson of the day will commence, usually
either Maths or English. To ensure that all students are present
and ready to learn, we strongly encourage parents to drop off
their children between 7:30 AM and 8:00 AM each morning.
Please be reminded that any students arriving after 8:30 AM will not be permitted to join Lesson 1. Instead, they
will be required to spend the duration of the first lesson in the library, engaging in independent reading. This
measure is necessary to minimize distractions for those who arrive on time and to foster a conducive learning
environment for all.
We appreciate your cooperation in adhering to this schedule, as it is designed to benefit our students' studies.

Term 2 Tuition Fee

This is a gentle reminder about the overdue second term school fees. The school has now set the last dead line
to be Friday, the 31st to settle term 2 tuition fee with a 5% penalty applied since the payment deadline has
passed. Timely payment is crucial for meeting our strategic objectives. If you have already paid, we thank you
for your promptness; if you haven't submitted your receipt; please send it via Telegram to 0988035355 with your
child's name and class.
Please note that failure to settle the outstanding fees by Friday, the 31st, will result in your child being denied
access to the classroom.
Payment can be made to:
Award Ceremony
Last Friday, we held a brief KS2 assembly to celebrate and acknowledge the outstanding performances of our
students during Term 1. We were pleased to present award certificates in four categories: Best Achievement,
Best Effort, Best Behavior, and Best Reader. Congratulations to all the deserving students who received these
awards for their hard work and dedication. Your support at home has played a vital role in their success, and
we look forward to continuing to celebrate their achievements throughout the year.
