1 Introduction
In this manual the operation of the vision inspection machine will be discussed in detail,
the first section gives a brief description of the operation.

2 Brief Operation description


On Startup, the red stop button will illuminate and the HMI (Human Machine Interface) will
start up, the startup process takes about 5 minutes. When the Status page is loaded on
the HMI the machine is ready for operation.

2.1 Firstly to start the machine the Green button must be pressed, when pressed the
green button illuminates and the machine starts up, the conveyer will start turning.

2.2 If the communication with the camera is not connected, a manual override is
provided, the manual override is located on the status page on the HMI, push the
COMMS button, there the combinations will be listed. Comb1 will be for the Accept
signal, then Comb3 Will be for the first reject signal, Comb4 second reject signal,
Comb5 Third reject signal, and the Comb6 is for the last reject signal. In Figure 1 a
View of the page is shown. After a Comb is selected the send button must be
pressed to send the data through. At the side you will then see one of the numbers
changing, at startup it will be 0 and after each send will be changed. This enables the
machine to know witch part needs to be in what bin.

2.3 After the combinations are entered parts can be loaded on the conveyer and it will
operate and dispense the parts into the correct bins, as selected on the HMI.

2.4 If a bin is full the lock on the bins will open and an empty is required. The screen
prompts the operator to empty the bin, and after the button is pressed and the bin is
emptied, the bin lock will lock again automatically. The accept bin 1 will firstly be filled up
before the second one, if bin 1 has 250 parts the HMI will prompt for a bin change and the
bin 2 will be in the filling process, after bin 2 is full bin 1 will be used again. The signal
tower on top of the machine has a red and green light, the green will be on when the
machine operates normally, the red light will flicker if 1 accept bin is full but will have a
solid red if both accept bins or any reject bin is full, the machine stops immediately if an bin
need to be emptied.
