Some people were in a café in Paris, France. They wanted to make the world
better. One of them was a man called Baker. He wrote down his idea: practise random
acts of kindness. A random act of kindness is a kind thing that you do for someone for
no reason. You can do random acts of kindness for people you know, for example, buy
flowers for your mother. You can also be kind to a stranger, for example, give your seat
to someone on a bus. Now February 17th is Random Acts of Kindness Day. All over the
world, people do kind things on this day because they want to see a smile on a person’s
face. Isn’t that a fantastic idea?

day there. We knew a lot about the history of our country. I’m
proud of my country, Egypt.
Random acts of kindness ÏË\Êç¡ ÏÁ3| ÿ]⁄¡^
A random act of kindness is a kind thing that you
do for someone, for no reason. Last week, our class
decided to do one act of kindness every day for three
days. First, on Monday, I bought my mother some
flowers. After that, on Tuesday, I gave my seat to an old
man on the bus. Finally, on Wednesday, I donated
money and clothes to a charity which helps disabled
people. In my opinion, doing random acts of kindness is
fantastic! So, it is important to help people in the
community.
Voluntary work È¡Êi’\ ◊⁄¬’\
Voluntary work is work you do for no money. I like
voluntary work. It’s a great job. My friends and I always do
voluntary work. I work as a volunteer for a charity which helps
to clean our local beach. On Friday, we go to the beach and pick
up rubbish. On the other hand, my friend Ali, works for a charity
which looks after old people. He looks after them and gives
them food. Finally, my friend, Samir, works for a charity which
looks after animals that are old or sick. He feeds the animals and
looks after them. In the end, I think we all should do voluntary
work and help other people.
A story you have read ]‚h^ÖÕ ÏëÕ
Yesterday, I read a story. It is called “A little
Princess”. It’s about a little girl called Sara who lived in
India. Sara’s father was rich. He sent her to a boarding
school in England. When Sara’s father died, she became
poor. The headteacher started to be cruel to Sara
because she had no money. She made her work as a
servant. Sara had to work hard every day and didn’t get
much food. Sara decided to behave well like a real
princess. She was always kind and polite to everyone.
She helped beggars and gave them food.
