Ansys Electronics Licensing Update

2023 R2 is the last release of Ansys Electronics Desktop (AEDT) that supports legacy product
licensing. Release 2024 R1 and onwards will only support product licenses from the Ansys
Electronics Pro, Premium, Enterprise portfolio.

Electronics Pro

An Electronics Pro 2D license is ideal for 2D Low Frequency (LF) electromagnetic analysis,
2D parameter extraction, Radio Frequency (RF) system analysis for the prediction of RF
interference, and circuit simulation with advanced RF functionality.

Electronics Pro 2D provides access to:


l AEDT application (prep/post UI for Circuit and 2D solvers)
l Maxwell 2D (quasi-static, Transient, PExprt, RMxprt)
l 2D Extractor (transmission line simulations)
l LF (aka. Simplorer) Analog and Digital Circuit
l HF Circuit (DC, Transient, RF Circuit, IBIS, PSPICE, Verilog A, HSPICE)
l Optimetrics (4 HPC cores)
l EMIT
l Network Data Explorer
Electronics Premium

Electronics Premium licenses provide access to everything in Electronics Pro 2D, and to
additional products on a per-product basis:
l Electronics Premium HFSS (3D solvers, Transient, IE, PO, SBR+)
l Electronics Premium Maxwell (3D solver)
l Electronics Premium Q3D (3D solver)
l Electronics Premium Icepak (all Icepak solvers, Mechanical Thermal and Modal solvers)
l Electronics Premium SIwave (DC, Resonance, AC, PSI, CPA-FEM, Q3D, PI Advisor)
Electronics Enterprise

An Electronics Enterprise license is a comprehensive single-user software package that enables


engineers to analyze a broad range of electromagnetic, electromechanical, RF, circuit, and
system-level applications with access to the full suite of Ansys Electronics simulation tools.

Electronics Enterprise provides access to everything in Electronics Pro 2D and everything in the
Electronics Premium portfolio, as well as advanced features. These include:
