OnSemi MC78T00 3A

The MC78T00 series consists of fixed voltage regulators capable of supplying over 3.0 A with features such as thermal shutdown and current limiting. These regulators are available in various output voltages (5V, 8V, 12V, 15V) with tolerances of 2% and 4%. They can be used in applications requiring adjustable voltages and currents with the addition of external components.

3.0 A Positive Voltage Series
Regulators
This family of fixed voltage regulators are monolithic integrated
circuits capable of driving loads in excess of 3.0 A. These THREE–AMPERE
three–terminal regulators employ internal current limiting, thermal POSITIVE FIXED
shutdown, and safe–area compensation. Devices are available with VOLTAGE REGULATORS
improved specifications, including a 2% output voltage tolerance, on
AC–suffix 5.0, 12 and 15 V device types. SEMICONDUCTOR
Although designed primarily as a fixed voltage regulator, these TECHNICAL DATA
devices can be used with external components to obtain adjustable
voltages and currents. This series of devices can be used with a
series–pass transistor to supply up to 15 A at the nominal output
voltage. T SUFFIX
