Compound sentence – is a
sentence that connects two
independent clauses.
The independent clauses can be
joined by coordinating
conjunction like for, and, nor,
but, or, yet, so. In this case the
sentence must contain the
comma before the conjunction
for correct punctuation.
To remember all the
coordinating conjunction, use
the mnemonic FANBOYS.
