Program Structure

The Math curriculum is divided into five chapters:

Here are the details:

The ‘Overview’ Chapter

● This chapter has an informative lesson on the SAT Math curriculum.
● The lesson talks about the detailed curriculum and the test structure.
● It also talks about tools like the graphing calculator and the reference sheet.

The SAT Math Content

The four content domains are covered under four different chapters:
● Algebra
● Advanced Math
● Problem-Solving and Data Analysis
● Geometry and Trigonometry

Chapter Structure

Chapters are sets of goals

Each goal is dedicated to a topic within the respective domain. E.g., here are the goals in the
Algebra chapter:
● Linear Equations In One & Two Variables
● Equations of Lines
● Linear Functions
● Systems of Linear Equations
● Linear Inequalities I
● Linear Inequalities II

Goals are sets of sheets

Each goal is covered by four sheets as shown below:

Here are the details of different sheet types:

Brush Up
● Recaps the basic results and formulas related to the topic.
● Is always unlocked.
● Can be attempted either at home or in class.
● Is to be reviewed compulsorily by the teacher in class.

Learning
● Demonstrates how SAT-style problems can be solved. And, provides practice with such
problems to the student.
● Unlocks after the brush up sheet is completed.
● Can be attempted only in class.
● To be completed compulsorily in class

Untimed Practice
● An untimed practice assignment with a mix of easy, intermediate, and advanced practice
problems.
● Unlocks after the learning sheet is completed.
● Supposed to be attempted at home. However, the ‘Attempt Location’ can be changed to ‘In
Class’ at the teacher’s discretion.
● To be compulsorily completed in order to unlock the timed practice sheet.

Timed Practice
● A 10-minute timed practice assignment with a mix of easy, intermediate, and advanced
questions.
● Unlocks after the untimed practice sheet is completed.
● Supposed to be attempted at home. However, the ‘Attempt Location’ can be changed to ‘In
Class’ at the teacher’s discretion.

Learning Plan

Number of Classes
● The Math curriculum is supposed to be covered within 25 classes of 1 hour each.
● Of the 25 classes, it is recommended that:
○ the content be covered in 23 classes.
○ 2 classes be reserved for discussing test-taking strategy and tips.

Class Frequency and Program Duration

● The recommended number of Math classes per week is 2-3.
● The recommended program duration is 10-12 weeks.

What is the Student Expected to do Outside of Classes?

In addition to attending the 25 classes, the student is expected to:
● Complete the untimed and timed practice assignments corresponding to every class
attended in the week. This will amount to 4-6 practice assignments per week.

● Attempt five full-length practice tests:

○ One test is to be attempted at the beginning of the program as the baseline
(diagnostic) assessment.

○ Four tests are to be attempted through the duration of the program. Roughly
speaking:
■ one of these tests is supposed to be taken at the midway stage (~ after 5
weeks).
■ the other three tests are supposed to be taken in consecutive weeks after
the completion of classes.

Office Hours
● In addition to the 25 hours of classes, the teachers are supposed to schedule a 1-hour
doubt-solving class every week, for every student.

● These class should cover the student’s doubts related to:

○ practice assignments (untimed + timed) attempted in that week.
○ full-length practice tests attempted in that week (if any).

● The total number of office hours for Math can go up to 10.
