how much chording, before a slap?

The definition of a slap is a single note that's preceded by a chord. If the line is too fast to hear
the slap affect, then don't slap. You may choose to slap only the first note of a run or note
combination... this is common. Try the lick below in a triplet rhythm...

4 3 4, 4+ 3+ 4+, 3 2 3

Try:
1) Slapping all the notes
2) Just the first and third of each triplet figure
3) Only the first note of each triplet figure
4) Slapping all the notes, but make the middle note of each triplet figure a pull (this is off
subject, but it sounds cool with this lick!)
