B.1.22.1 The location of the bushings of the transformer shall be as shown below:
Note: * - Location of the Low Voltage Terminal is tentative. Final arrangement shall depend on the final
layout of the substation.
B.1.23.1 On transformers where flanges are supplied for bus ducts, the bushings are to be located to provide
ground clearance, as stated below, between bus enclosure and live parts of bushings to which bus duct is
connected and to other bushings not connected to the bus duct. Contractor shall cooperate with the
suppliers of the following equipment for the coordination of the power transformer terminals:
B.1.23.2 Isolated phase bus duct requires line to bus duct enclosure (ground) clearance from H, X, and Y terminals
N/A, N/A, by Contractor, mm., respectively.
B.1.23.3 Non-segregated phase bus duct requires line to bus duct enclosure (ground) clearance from H, X, and Y
terminals, _______, _______, _______mm, respectively.
B.1.23.4 Transformer tank design shall be such that no additional heating will result from induction or conduction
from the bus ducts connected to it at rated load within its normal service condition.
B.1.23.5 Contractor shall inform the Employer of his coordination activities with vendors of connected or
associated equipment by forwarding copies of correspondence.

B.4.2 All spare parts subject to damage or deterioration by moisture shall be packed in moisture-proof material.
All spare parts shall be interchangeable with and identical in all respect to the original parts.
B.4.3 All transformers of one size and type and all transformer components of the same rating shall be fully
interchangeable.
Note: The Bidders shall provide the information on the Transformer Guaranteed Losses by filling
up the above requirements.
The Total Transformer Losses based on the rated MVA shall not exceed 260kW. Bidder (s) whose
bid(s) is/are offering transformer(s) exceeding the given value for the transformer losses shall be
rejected outright.
During Factory Acceptance Test, if the transformer losses, as determined by test at rated voltage,
frequency and 100% rated kVA (on principal tapping) exceeded the guaranteed total losses, the excess
in losses shall be computed at the following rates and using the formula stipulated at Section
E.1.2.4.5.1.1 of the technical specification. The resulting amount shall be deducted from the contract
price of the transformer.
B.6.2 Maintenance Free Dehydrating (silica gel) Breathers for the Transformers
In lieu of the conventional type of dehydrating breathers with silica gel or similar drying agents which
always require periodic sight checks and frequent replacement of used-up granulate of silica gel, a newly
develop maintenance free dehydrating breathers similar to MR type MTraB shall be used for the
transformers.

An earthing resistor shall be furnished in the neutral of the 22kV winding. This shall be mounted
preferably on the transformer. The determination of the value of the earthing resistor shall be calculated
by the bidder to limit the L.V single phase to ground fault current, with the HV and LV grounded, to
10,000 amperes. The neutral earthing resistor equipment shall be provided with current transformers
with the same technical data as the neutral bushing CT.
A three dimensional shock recorder with a period recording chart for three months shall be provided by
the Contractor for each of the transformer to be supplied. The Contractor shall state the allowable safety
limit of the readings for the impact.
In the event that the reading of the impact recorder exceeded the safety limit during and after loading,
transport and unloading of the transformer, the Contractor should promptly report this matter to the
Employer and conduct a thorough examination of the transformer to assess the possible damage which
might occur in the transformer. If the result of the reading would render the transformer unserviceable,
then the Contractor should immediately take remedial measures to make sure that the transformer would
be safely and properly operational. If the defect however, would necessitate a complete replacement of
the transformer, then the Contractor should do so at his own expense. It is understood that the
replacement and/or the remedial measures undertaken on the transformer would not entail time extension
on the contractual date in the implementation of the Project.
Haefely Trench made bushing for the Power Transformer is not acceptable. The name of the bushing
manufacturer shall be specifically given in the Technical Data Sheets. Bidder(s) whose bid(s) is/are offering
Haefely Trench made bushing shall be rejected outright.
C.1 The Contractor furnished data and information are included in this Specification to indicate the
guaranteed performance data, predicted performance, interface requirements and construction features of
all Contractor furnished equipment. The accuracy of such information and the compatibility of such
information with overall performance requirements specified by Employer are the sole responsibility of
the Contractor.
C.2.1 In accordance with Paragraph 1.1.8 of the General Technical Requirements and the Technical Data
Sheets of Section E.1.1, the operating environment for this installation _(will , will not ) affect the life
expectancy of the components used in this equipment. If there will be an effect, the following components
will be affected as follows:
