EXPERIMENT NO .1
OBJECTIVE
(a). Transient analysis of BJT inverter using step input.

(b). DC analysis (VTC) of BJT inverter.

SIMULATOR USED
PSpice

THEORY :- Transistor function as an inverter ,when operated in

only the cut off and saturation regions of transistor amplifier, not in
active region . When the input voltage is low, transistor does not
conduct , there is no current and the collector voltage (output ) is
pulled up to VCC. When the input voltage is increased , the transistor
begins to conduct ,the voltage drop across RC start increasing, and the
output voltage falls.

DC Analysis:
 DC analysis focuses on the steady-state behaviour of the circuit.
 In a BJT inverter, the DC analysis involves determining the DC operating
point or quiescent point (Q-point) of the transistors.
 The goal is to ensure proper transistor biasing to achieve a stable
operating point for the inverter

Transient Analysis:
Transient analysis deals with the circuit's behaviour over time, especially

during the transition between different logic levels.

In a BJT inverter, transient analysis involves studying the rise and fall
times of the output signal during input transitions.

Capacitors and parasitic elements in the circuit affect the transient

response.

Time constants and delays in the circuit are crucial parameters in

transient analysis.

Experiment No.2
Objective :- To verify the characteristics of low pass
and high pass filters.

SIMULATOR USED
PSpice

Theory : High-pass and low-pass filters are types

of electronic filters that allow certain frequencies
to pass through while attenuating (reducing)
others. Here's a brief explanation of each:
1. High-pass filter (HPF):
 Function: Allows high frequencies to pass

through while attenuating low frequencies.

 Application: Commonly used in audio

systems to filter out low-frequency noise

or to emphasize higher-pitched sounds.
2. Low-pass filter (LPF):
 Function: Allows low frequencies to pass

through while attenuating high

frequencies.
 Application: Used in audio systems to

filter out high-frequency noise or to limit

the bandwidth of a signal.
