One of the stimuli that needs to be done to increase the ability of students in the field of science, especially Biology,
is to hold an Olympiad Event. The Indonesia Scientific Society (ISS) is an institution that is concerned with
advancing the world of science in Indonesia. To improve the abilities of Indonesian students in the field of science,
the Indonesia Scientific Society (ISS) is ready to hold the International Applied Biology Olympiad (AIBO).

AIBO is a means of improving the abilities of international students in the field of science, especially Biology.
International students are tested for their skills and dexterity in doing biology problems which can foster a positive
attitude, especially in terms of critical thinking and being scientific. This Olympiad s was held online because of the
Covid-19 pandemic situation, but was still under close surveillance.
Purpose

The objectives of the AIBO are:

❑ Fostering a positive attitude, especially in terms of critical thinking and being scientific through the challenges of
solving biology problems.

❑ Give birth to the best students in the field of biology who are ready to compete at the international level.
Participant ‘Terms and Conditions

❑ Participants are students in grades IX, X, XI and XII

❑ Participants have never won an International Biology Olympiad gold medal

❑ Participants can represent schools or individuals.

❑ Participants are required to provide a stable internet network.

❑ Participants are required to have a mentor teacher who comes from the School or Guidance Institution.

❑ Participants must have a WhatsApp number as a means of communication and coordination between the
committee and participants.
Competition Mechanism

Round 1 : Semifinal
(Participants work on several questions ONLINE
(study cases) in 120 minutes online)

Round 2 : Final
From the semifinals, the top 75 will be taken to OFFLINE
appear in the final. The final will be carried out
using the Study Case Presentation Model
