Every Friday from 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM Level I – Computer Basics (4 sessions) • Why Use a Computer? – Reasons why you should take the time to learn about computers. • Getting started on a Computer – What a computer is and how to use a mouse and keyboard. • Using a PC (Windows 10) – Learn the basics of using a PC with the Windows 10 Operating System. • Using a Mac (OS 11) – Learn the basics of using a Mac with the OS 11 Operating System.
Level II – Web literacy (4 sessions)
• Basic Search – Learn about search engines and get started searching the internet. • Navigating a Website – Learn your way around websites. • Internet Privacy – Learn to understand privacy online. • Intro to Email and Beyond – Get started with email and learn more than the basics of navigating your email account.
Level III – Job Skills & Productivity (4 sessions)
• Creating Resumes – Learn how to create and edit resumes in Microsoft Word. • Online Job Searching – Get tips and tools for looking for a job online. • Microsoft Word – Create, format, and save a document in Microsoft Word. • Creating a Basic Budget with Excel – Learn basic skills needed to create a basic household budget in Excel.
Level IV – Social Network, Mobile Devices & Video (4 sessions)
• Intro to Facebook – Basics of Facebook including signing up, finding friends, and privacy. • Basics of Video Conferencing – Get started with video conferencing. • Using a Mobile Device (Android) – Learn basic information about mobile devices and Android phones. • Using a Mobile Device (iOs) – Learn basic information about mobile devices and iOS phones.
