Negative and positive nos

Rational nos
Decimals allowed

Addition of Integers
Same sign add
Different sign subtract and put greater number sign

Absolute value anything goes inside bars comes as positive

Closure property
if x and y are any two integers, x + y and x − y will also be an
integer.

Commutative property
⇒x+y=y+x
⇒x×y=y×x

Associative property
⇒ x + (y + z) = (x + y) +z
⇒ x × (y × z) = (x × y) × z

Distributive property
⇒ x × (y + z) = x × y + x × z
⇒ x × (y − z) = x × y − x × z

Identity property
Zero is called additive identity. For any integer x,
x+0=x=0+x
1 is called the multiplicative identity for a number. For any
integer x,
x×1=x=1×x
