In modular arithmetic, numbers are arranged in a circle similar to that on the face of

a clock. When you add you go around clockwise and when you subtract you go
anticlockwise. The diagram shows a modular 8 circle.

Consider the examples below based on the modular 8 circle.

Examples:

1− 4 = 5
3  5 = 15 = 7

Calculate the following using the modular 8 circle.
