3 Workflow 1 – Getting started with RokDoc®

Introduction
This workflow tells you how to launch RokDoc, create a project and enter data into it.

RokDoc data has been broken down into two types; Project data and Well data.

Project data incorporates working intervals, averages, minerals, fluids, and wavelets, etc.
which are applicable to the project.

Well Data incorporates logs, deviation surveys, check-shots, markers, volume fraction sets,
saturation sets, etc. all of which are specific to the individual well. Once a well is displayed in
the Well Viewer, numerous functions can be applied to create new data, which can be saved
to the individual well within the database.

For every data component (i.e. per well for Well data) there is always an 'active' component.
This means that multi-well “scenario processing” is feasible, facilitating quick sensitivity
analysis: (and … in the GUI’s we do provide shortcuts!) The active logs are chosen as
defaults with preference to similar log types when applying new functionalities or viewing log
data for sensitivity analysis (i.e. cross-plotting).

The data referred to in this quick guide all resides in the demodata folder in the rokdoc
installation.

Aims
By working through this Quick Guide the user will learn to complete the following tasks:

1. Create a new RokDoc project.

2. Import well data into a project.
3. Manage, convert and export well data.
4. Create Markers
5. Create Volume Sets and Saturation Sets.
