Informal letter, Town recommendations

Dear Chris
I’m really delighted to hear from you after such a long period of time! Learning
about your new job and your content with it makes me really happy and motivated!
Unfortunately, by the time you came to my town I will already have left for Germany due
to some family obligations, so I won’t be able to give you a tour personally.
My town is great, to be honest. You can choose where to spend your time from a
variety of places, both during the day and during the night.
During the day you should definitely, starting early in the morning, visit the
nearby lake and its natural surroundings which are protected by the government and
considered a national treasure! The nature is stunning, there is plenty of space for hiking
and you could have lunch in the only restaurant in the forest. The food is mesmerizing!
In the evening I definitely suggest you go to a couple of clubs in the city centre or
if you opt for something quieter a nice dinner in the best restaurant in town called
“Avenia”. The restaurant has a long tradition and has been awarded annually.
Had you noted me earlier about your visit, I could have postponed my Germany
trip in order for us to hang out. Such a shame! Best of luck with your new job, and write
as soon as you can.
