Classroom management
Classroom management
Complex:
There is no way that a book or video can tell the teacher of how he can solve the organizational problems
of specific classes in different contexts all around the world.
Within each individual problem, there are distinct characteristics that will make each situation unique, for
example: < cultural norms, people involved, relationships, psychological problems>
And with no one can dictate on what to do in each situation because all effective teaching requires an
active-by-moment processing of the current situation and a flexible ever-changing reflection as to might be
the best thing to do.
CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT IS BOTH SIMPLE AND COMPLEX
Simple:
Having said that classroom management is complex, classroom management is also deliciously simple. Reason for
that, is that there are many small, easy-to-learn, practical techniques that can be read about and tried, improved
and then used as part of any teacher’s repertoire of classroom skills and in most cases, having more of these
fingerprints will make you a better teacher, as simple as it sounds.
CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT
Teacher-Student Interactions:
Student-Student Interactions:
▪ Encouraging group work,
discussions, and peer-to-peer
learning.
▪ Structuring tasks that require
students to work together
towards a common goal.
▪ Encouraging students to provide
constructive feedback to their
peers.
DIFFERENT TYPES OF INTERACTION FOR GOOD CLASSROOM
MANAGEMENT.
Teacher-Environment Interactions:
Facilitator of Learning:
Teachers are not just
transmitters of knowledge;
they guide and facilitate
learning experiences. They
create an environment
where students can explore,
discover, and construct their
understanding of the subject
matter.

Curriculum Designer:
Teachers play a role in
designing or adapting
curriculum materials to suit
the needs of their students.
They align lessons with
educational standards while
incorporating innovative and
engaging approaches to
teaching.

ensuring a safe and respectful
atmosphere for all students.

Active Participants:
Learners are active
participants in the learning
process. They engage with
the material, ask questions,
and contribute to
discussions, fostering a
dynamic learning
environment.
THE ROLE OF LEARNERS IN THE CLASSROOM.
Responsibility for
Learning: Learners take
ownership of their
education. They manage
their time effectively,
complete assignments, and
actively seek resources to
deepen their understanding
of subjects.

Receptive to Feedback:
Learners are open to
receiving feedback from
teachers, peers, and self-
assessment. They use
feedback constructively to
enhance their learning and
improve their performance.
