We wish to express our deep sense of gratitude to our training supervisor Er.
Ajay Singh Rawat, Anand Bisht for guiding me from the inception till the
completion of the summer training. We sincerely acknowledge him/her for giving
his/her valuable guidance, support for literature survey, critical reviews and
comments for our training.
We also express sincere thanks and gratitude to Er. Manoj Semwal (EE
PMGSY IRRIGATION DIVISION CHAMBA, TEHRI GARHWAL), for his kind cooperation
and extendible support towards the completion of our project.

Abstract
1.1 AIM
The primary aim of this industrial training was to gain practical knowledge and
hands-on experience in road construction processes. This included understanding
the construction of road walls, various layers of roads, and observing the different
stages of work executed on-site. The training aimed to bridge the gap between
theoretical knowledge and practical application by providing real-world exposure
to construction activities and techniques.
1.2 OBJECTIVE
• To gain hands-on experience in road construction activities and processes.
• To understand the construction methods and techniques involved in
building road walls and layers of roads.
• To observe and analyze the workflow and management of construction
projects on-site.
• To familiarize oneself with the tools, machinery, and materials used in road
construction.
• To enhance practical knowledge by bridging the gap between theoretical
concepts and real-world applications.
• To develop problem-solving skills by tackling challenges encountered during
on-site construction.
• To learn about safety measures and best practices followed in construction
projects.
• To gain insights into project planning, execution, and quality control in road
construction.
