II. Session Outline
Session Title: KNOWING OUR PEOPLE IN THE COMMUNITY
Session Objectives: 1. Identify the peopole in the community who can help in taking oneself and
others.
2. Show appreciation to those who can help you within your community.
3. Share experiences where health and safety are considered at home and at
school.

Key Concepts: Meet Your Neighbors: It's good to know the people around you in your community.
Learn from them and how they help everyone,especially during tough times like the
pandemic.

Learn from Heroes: Some people, like doctors, are heroes who take care of others
when they're sick. These heroes can inspire you to be good and help others too.

Try Different Ways: When you have tasks, try doing them in different ways.Don't
worry if it doesn't work perfectly the first time. You can learn from it and try again.

Learn from Mistakes: It's okay to make mistakes. Everyone does.When you make a
mistake, think about what went wrong, and try to do better next time.

Be a Good Friend to Everyone: Learning from your community and growing up happy
and helpful is like putting puzzle pieces together. You become good at lots of things
and a great friend to everyone

We learn how to take care of ourselves and value others at home and
in school. In addition to that, there are people around us who can help
us in taking care of ourselves and others.

Doctors - provide essential medical care, prescribe medication,


perform surgeries, and offer preventative measures to help
people maintain their health.

Teachers - help students learn by imparting knowledge to them


and by setting up a situation in which students can and will

Garbage collector -picking up and transporting waste to


disposal sites, landfills, or recycling centers using large
vehicles, such as garbage trucks. In addition to collecting trash,
garbage collectors also maintain and clean their vehicles and
equipment.
C. Valuing Baragay Tanod - assist the government in the maintenance of
peace and order in the country. Pursuant to such duty, they
conduct rondas or nightly patrols, necessarily exposing their
lives and limbs to danger in the hands of criminal elements and
other wayward members of society.

or other emergency situations.
